Telekom Slovenije Forges First 5G Roaming Pact
After Telekom Slovenije established the first national fifth-generation mobile network (5G), it now also provides its mobile subscribers with the first 5G mobile roaming.
This allows subscribers to Telekom Slovenije’s mobile services to roam in the 5G network of Austrian operator Hutchison Drei Austria starting today. The network name displayed on the mobile device is 3 AT or Drei.
For 5G roaming, subscribers need a 5G mobile phone and include LTE mobile data transfer (also during roaming) and 5G service Telekom Slovenije. Telekom Slovenije plans to set up even more 5G roaming this year.
Subscribers to the Naj 5G subscription plan have the 5G service automatically activated. Subscribers to other mobile plans who have mobile devices with 5G support can active 5G service through the Moj Telekom self-management portal or by sending the keyword 5G to 1918.
Slovenian users of mobile services can currently use Telekom Slovenije’s 5G service with the following mobile phones from Samsung, Huawei, Apple, LG, and Xiaomi:
- Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21+, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra,
- Huawei P40 Pro;
- all iPhones series 12 (iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 12 Pro Max);
- LG Wing 5G, and
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G
