Magenta Telekom’s roaming use remain same in UK after Brexit

Magenta Telekom said Brexit currently does not have any impact on roaming charges for its customers in the UK.

The company will inform customers if roaming conditions change. It said that customers with a mobile phone tariff with unlimited telephony or unlimited texts can automatically use the service in other EU countries.

At the end of the year, 5G was activated at over 1,200 locations across Austria. This means that almost 40 percent of households and businesses are supplied with 5G Magenta Telekom Brexit

5G pioneer Magenta Telekom reached a new milestone in the 5G expansion at the end of the year and is now the first mobile communications provider to offer unlimited 5G internet at 1,200 5G-capable locations throughout Austria. Thus, Magenta reaches around 40 percent of households and businesses in Austria for the first time with the new mobile communications standard. Since July 2020, 400 new 5G-capable locations have been upgraded; in October, there were already 1,000, and by the end of the year, there will be a total of 1,200. The 5G network expansion will continue in 2021.

The Corona crisis made the need for fast, stable internet particularly clear. Whether for home office, homeschooling, or streaming, the second lockdown has already set a new record in data usage in the Magenta network.

5G Innovation Award 2021 for the Magenta 5G network

Since 2018, Magenta has been the undisputed leader in Connect’s mobile network test, this year for the third time in a row. For the first time this year, 5G was a regular part of the Connect network test. The 5G availability played an important role in the data discipline, and the measurements confirm the clear speed advantage of 5G. These provided the highest data rates in Magenta’s 5G network. “In the overall 5G evaluation, however, Magenta is clearly ahead – and thus deserves our 5G innovation award”, is how the Connect editorial team justified the award of the 5G Innovation Award 2021 to Magenta.

The Moto G 5G PLUS, Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G are new to the Magenta range of 5G-capable smartphones. Other 5G smartphones are the Apple iPhone 12 series, the Huawei P40 Pro 5G, OnePlus 8, Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20 + 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G (foldable).
