Deutsche Telekom reopens 19 shops following Covid-19 measures

Deutsche Telekom discontinued sales and service in around 500 own shops on March 18 in view of the coronavirus crisis. Now, the company announce that it has decided to reopen 19 shops following the measures taken to halt the spread of Covid-19. Deutsche Telekom reopens 19 shops

The company opened already 13 stores in Baden-Wurttemberg on 31 March. It will open two stores in Berlin and four in Schleswig-Holstein next week. Telekom is in talks with the states of Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the city of Hamburg to open stores in those areas, too.

Discussions are also ongoing with the federal states of Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. These could soon follow. On the basis of regulations of the state governments, service providers in the telecommunications sector are permitted to open their shops.

A reduced number of services are offered in the Telekom Shops. This includes:

Ensuring hardware supply for smartphones, routers, SIM cards, an immediate replacement for defective end devices / SIM cards
Fast starter / prepaid packages for the immediate provision of telephony and Internet services
Mobile phone data transfer for new and replacement devices
Advice and initial solution for access or hardware problems
Immediate commissioning of landline and mobile devices

It is also possible to conclude contracts.
