Boingo Wins Record 10th Global Traveler Award For ‘Best WiFi Service’
Boingo Wireless, the leading distributed antenna system (DAS), small cells and Wi-Fi provider that serves consumers, carriers and advertisers worldwide, has won its 10th Global Traveler GT Tested Award for “Best WiFi Service.” The win marks a new category record in the annual reader survey that recognizes the best in travel.
“Now for a decade, travelers have voted Boingo Wi-Fi as the best of the best,” said Dawn Callahan, chief marketing officer, Boingo. “Ten Global Traveler award wins is a breakthrough achievement that underscores Boingo’s continuous Wi-Fi innovation and commitment to keeping pace with travelers’ growing mobile demands. Travelers are more connected than ever and we’re proud to serve as their top choice for blazing-fast Wi-Fi.”
Boingo Wi-Fi is available at more than one million hotspots around the world at airports, hotels, malls, cafés, stadiums and more. Boingo recently ranked No. 1 on Ookla’s “Fastest Airport Wi-Fi” report for delivering Wi-Fi speeds of more than 145 Mbps. The company also expanded its hotspot footprint with Boingo Wi-Fi launches at London Heathrow, Europe’s largest airport, and the new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, among other venues.
“When it comes to ‘Best WiFi Service,’ Boingo is unmatched,” said Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO, Global Traveler. “Boingo is an exceptional connectivity provider and we applaud the company on landing a remarkable 10th win in the Global Traveler GT Tested Awards.”
In its 16th annual GT Tested Reader Survey awards, Global Traveler conducted a reader poll asking frequent travelers to vote for their favorite airlines, hotels, loyalty programs, Wi-Fi and more in an open-ended survey. For the 10th year, Boingo received an overwhelming majority of votes in the Best WiFi Service category. Winners will be honored at a special awards ceremony hosted by Global Traveler on Dec. 11 at The Peninsula Beverly Hills.
