New partner networks have also been added in popular travel destinations such as the UK, the US and the Philippines, so customers have more options to choose the best service for themselves and stay connected for less while they travel. These 35 new networks will initially be offered for a three-month period covering the holiday season.
Ooredoo Passport can be activated before travelling to enjoy Ooredoo Qatar roaming worry-free while on travel. But even if customers forget to do so, Ooredoo will still protect them from high roaming bills — if a customer’s bill reaches QR100 while they are travelling overseas in an Ooredoo Passport Network country, an Ooredoo Passport will automatically be activated. And, if all the allowances included with the Passport are used up, another Ooredoo Passport will be activated to ensure continued bill protection.
Speaking of the network expansion, Manar Khalifa al Muraikhi, director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said, “We know the often high cost of roaming on overseas networks is a major concern for our customers while travelling. We’re delighted to broaden our Ooredoo Passport map with the addition of several new networks and countries, so we can continue helping our customers avoid high bills when they want to stay connected to family and friends while abroad.”
A list of new networks and countries is available on the Ooredoo website www.ooredoo.qa. An Ooredoo Passport can be obtained online via the Ooredoo App or at any Ooredoo shop or the Qatar Duty Free at Hamad International Airport.
