Vueling Activates The Wi-Fi On Board – Rates Between 2 – 9 €
Vueling has announced that it has activated an on-board Wi-Fi service for passengers, which will allow throughout Europe to enjoy constant bandwidth to browse and other online activities. Currently, only five fleet aircraft (120) have compatible equipment but progressively the implementation will concern everyone.
“In the next months, the EAN (European Aviation Network) technology – offered by Inmarsat, one of the leading companies in the Mobile Satellite Services (SSM) and Deutsche Telekom sector – will be available on board the entire fleet, “explains Vueling. “This technology, designed specifically to meet the needs of European aviation, offers a constant broadband connection in flight throughout Europe, thus giving users a comfortable and reliable flight experience.”
Fly & Chat and Fly & Surf view wi-fi
According to Calum Laming, Vueling’s Chief Customer Experience, Wi-Fi connection and entertainment service “are differentiating factors and most valued by passengers“. However, it should be noted that Wi-Fi on board will be charged. There will be three rates and registration will be required only the first time: in subsequent flights, it will be sufficient to log in. We talk about “Fly & Chat”, a basic package with a cost between 2 and 3 euros ideal for those who want to manage mail and chat systems; “Fly & Surf”, with a price between 3 and 5 euros, an option for passengers who want to surf and discover the latest news in flight; “Fly & More“, with a price between 6 and 9 euros for those who want to enjoy streaming content without sacrificing anything during the flight.
Vueling today manages 80 routes departing from 17 Italian airports, including Rome Fiumicino, the airline’s second international hub.
