Examples of force majeure are snowstorms, ash clouds from volcanic eruptions, terrorism and unannounced strikes.
Regardless of how annoying this is, the airline can unfortunately not do anything about it and will not give you any compensation for this either. They often give you a drink, a meal or an overnight stay. This depends on the circumstances.
