Yettel customers can now enjoy crystal clear sound while enjoying their summer vacation thanks to the VoLTE roaming service. In order to ensure better quality and more freedom for users in the height of the summer season, the operator prioritizes launching the service for travelers in nearby Greece who use the Cosmote operator’s network. VoLTE in roaming is also available in the networks of 4 more operators – O2 in the Czech Republic, Orange in Romania, Elisa in Finland and Estonia, and the list of supported operators and countries will be constantly expanded. Yettel customers do not pay extra for the VoLTE service, and calls are billed as standard according to the terms of their plan.

In addition, VoLTE can connect calls up to twice as fast, resulting in an instant dial-free signal to a user with a VoLTE-enabled phone. In addition to faster connection and crystal clear sound quality, users can use mobile data on their device at high speed while having a call, such as simultaneously browsing the Internet or downloading an app while talking.

Among the advantages of VoLTE is the longer battery life of the smartphone, since the technology eliminates the need for the phone to switch between different technologies – 4G or 5G to 2G or 3G and vice versa after the end of the call. VoLTE calls can only be made with devices that are compatible with the technology and support 4G/5G networks. According to the operator’s data, at the moment 64% of all calls in the national network are made through VoLTE.
