Xiaomi holds Mi Fan festival promotions in China

Xiaomi said it has kicked off one of its biggest sales promotions campaigns on its e-commerce platform, in celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary and annual Xiaomi Mi Fan Festival 2020 (MFF 2020).
Starting from 3 April, Xiaomi’s official and authorised channels in mainland China listed more than 22 popular smartphone offerings and ecosystem products with discounted prices. Until 9 April, MFF 2020 achieved a total transaction amount of CNY 2.89 billion, marking a 49 percent increase compared to the MFF 2019.
Products promoted during the MFF 2020 include much sought-after items such as Redmi Smart Band, Mi Smart Combo Washer Dryer 1C, Mi Humidifier, Mi Smart Doorbell 2 Lite, Mi Facial Cleanser, Mi Electric Shaver S500, Mi 5-in-1 Nail Clipping Set and more.

With the special 10th anniversary, Xiaomi collaborated with 49 overseas e-commerce platforms* to jointly offer special products and amazing deals for global Mi Fans. From April 7 to April 10, everyone can find Xiaomi’s latest smartphones and IoT products at honest prices through these channels.

Xiaomi fans can also expect dozens of surprises during this grand celebration. The Redmi Note series has always been Xiaomi’s legendary series and one of the most beloved products by Mi Fans. As such, Xiaomi launched an MFF limited edition for Redmi Note 9S, with only 2020 units worldwide.

According to the official data shared by Xiaomi, the popular electronics brand sold over 1.826 million smart AIoT products during this period. This marks a year-on-year increase of a whopping 160 percent. Similarly, its TV sales have exceeded a significant 231,000 units as well. Lu Weibing, the President of Xiaomi, stated that the first sale sold nearly 65 million products in just a single hour.

In the Mi Fan Festival, it has been reported that total number of people participating had reached 98.06 million. These stats were showcased online via an image poster from Xiaomi. It depicted the large transaction and notable sales numbers. So, it is clearly evident that the festival period was a massive success, despite the ongoing crisis due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
