X-Mobility launches new ‘App eSIM’ service

Ahead of this year’s virtual MVNO World Congress event, x-Mobility is launching a new App eSIM service – a white-label consumer eSIM offering. This means that in conjunction with their existing App VNOTM service, company can provide the full suite of SIM services – mobile number, voice, sms and now data – all OTT. The next evolution in telecoms is choosing from global data plans that best fit your needs, all without a SIM in your device.

x-Mobility App eSIM works by allowing users to subscribe to additional data tariffs on top of the one they access through their physical SIM. For example, if the user is abroad, they can subscribe to a ‘local’ data plan to avoid roaming charges.

For the first time users do NOT need a SIM to subscribe to mobile data plans.
The ability to offer your users access to global data plans on-demand, via a branded consumer app, without the need for SIM swapping, is the next evolution in telecoms.

With x-Mobility’s App eSIM data service, you will benefit from: X-Mobility App eSIM

  • SIMless access to global data plans on any eSIM-enabled device
  • Users simply pick a country or region and then pay and enable the data service with a few clicks
  • All fully branded with your artwork and network name, enabling you to launch your own branded App eSIM Data service
  • Current eSIM-enabled devices include all current Apple phones for sale (plus selective iPads), all current Google Pixel phones for sale, Samsung’s current S20 range, Motorola Razr and many many others X-Mobility ‘App eSIM’

“There’s a lot of excitement around eSIM and a lot of interest from the companies we’re engaged with about creating a consumer-facing App eSIM service.”

Follow Me Talk (https://www.followmetalk.com), a Kenyan smartphone financing company, last month launched a new telecoms service that was powered by x-Mobility.

With the launch initially in Kenya and plans to extend to the greater East African market, Follow Me Talk will be using x-Mobility’s AppVNOTM service to offer calls, texts, free peer-to-peer messaging and new and additional virtual numbers to subscribers.
