WhatsApp app for Windows offers video and audio calls

WhatsApp began as a mobile app and still maintains its strong roots in mobile usage, but with the growing number of users accessing WhatsApp on computers and tablets, the company is now committed to enhancing the messaging and calling experience across all devices. A new WhatsApp app for Windows has been released, which features a faster loading time and a user interface that is familiar to both WhatsApp and Windows users. Users can now make group video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people, with plans to expand these limits in the future. WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption for personal messages, media, and calls across all devices.

The company has also introduced new features such as link previews and stickers and has made improvements to device linking and syncing across devices based on user feedback.

Additionally, a beta version of WhatsApp for Android tablets has been launched, and an early beta version of a faster app for Mac desktops is also available. WhatsApp plans to continue expanding to more devices in the future.

Getting more out of groups on WhatsApp WhatsApp app for Windows video and audio calls

In the previous year, WhatsApp introduced Communities to help users get the most out of their groups. Since then, the company has been working on developing more tools for both admins and users. A few days ago, WhatsApp announced a few new changes aimed at making groups easier to manage for admins and navigate for all members.

One of the new features is a tool that gives group admins greater control over their group’s privacy. As more people join communities, admins can now decide who can and cannot join their group. Admins can choose to share their group’s invite link or make their group joinable in a community while still having more control over who can join. WhatsApp recognizes that groups are where users have some of their most personal conversations, so it’s important to make it easy for admins to regulate who is allowed to participate.

Another new feature is the ability to easily see which groups you have in common with someone. With the growth of Communities and larger groups, it can be difficult to remember the names of all the groups you share with someone. However, now you can simply search a contact’s name to view the groups you’re both in.

WhatsApp plans to roll out these features globally over the coming weeks, and they will continue to develop new tools to enhance the group experience for both admins and members. More Whatsapp news are available here. WhatsApp app for Windows video and audio calls
