Travelport Expands NDC Reach with 4 Leading European Travel Tech Partners

Travelport, a global technology company that powers bookings for hundreds of thousands of travel suppliers worldwide, announced the expansion of its global network of authorized third-party developers with access to New Distribution Capability (NDC) content by adding four leading European-based travel technology companies.

The companies—CEE Travel Systems, NPF (and its customer, Abreu), Travel Technology & Solutions (TTS), and Vibe—have recently integrated Travelport’s modern, JSON-based NDC APIs. These integrations allow their customers to access richer, more dynamic airline content through Travelport+.

“Accelerating our NDC program through third-party partnerships reinforces Travelport’s commitment to modernizing travel retailing and providing agencies with greater connectivity, personalization, and choice,”

said Jason Toothman, Chief Commercial Officer–Agency at Travelport. “By working with a growing roster of trusted developers, Travelport is scaling NDC delivery faster and more efficiently.”

What customers are saying about integrating with Travelport’s NDC content:

Danny Girling, Business Development and Head of Partnerships EMEA, Vibe said:

“At Vibe, we’re committed to giving our clients smarter, more dynamic ways to access content, and NDC is a key part of that. Our integration with Travelport+ allows us to deliver scalable, modern retailing experiences. It’s about combining rich content with flexibility and doing it at speed.”

João Santos, CEO, Travel Technology & Solutions (TTS) said: “At TTS, our partnership with Travelport allows us to deliver NDC content directly into our TTS WebAgent and TTS Corporate platforms, which serve travel agencies in over 126 countries. This expanded access to airline content, combined with our AI-powered search engines, unlocks a new level of personalization and efficiency for our users. Together with Travelport, we are redefining modern travel retailing by providing agencies with easier, smarter, and faster tools to stay competitive and better serve their customers.”

Ctibor Pilnaj, Head of Sales & Marketing CEE Travel Systems said: “As Travelport’s Strategic Partner, we develop Travelport solutions for agencies, so integrating NDC content from Travelport was a natural step for us. It’s a key priority to give our agency clients access to modern content through a single, efficient JSON API.”

Nuno Barreiros, Senior Director Airlines & GDS Distribution said: “Partnering with NPF, Abreu established a single JSON Restful API connection to Travelport, enabling seamless access to NDC content from multiple airlines while integrating with its back-office systems. This collaboration ensures expanded content offerings without compromising productivity. With the rise of NDC and its dynamic pricing, Abreu embraced the opportunity to enhance travel solutions for its customers.”

Conclusion

Travelport’s strategic expansion of its NDC developer ecosystem reflects a larger shift across the global travel distribution market—where speed, content control, and personalization are becoming key differentiators. While Amadeus and Sabre have also accelerated their NDC roadmaps, Travelport’s developer-first approach and emphasis on JSON-based simplicity positions it as a more agile alternative, especially attractive for mid-sized tech partners and B2B platforms seeking fast integrations without legacy complexity.

Unlike some competitors who still lean heavily on XML standards or proprietary NDC implementations, Travelport’s use of RESTful APIs aligns with broader SaaS trends and developer expectations. According to a recent IATA NDC Leaderboard update, Travelport has consistently been among the most active aggregators in terms of live connections, and its growing focus on third-party scalability indicates a mature recognition of how NDC can only succeed if it works not just for airlines—but for the entire retailing ecosystem.

Moreover, with companies like TPConnects, Duffel, and Travelfusion gaining ground as next-gen aggregators, Travelport’s decision to integrate established players like Vibe and TTS sends a clear signal: it aims to retain dominance not just as a GDS, but as a modern travel retailing platform.

As the industry continues to demand deeper content, smarter merchandising, and omnichannel readiness, Travelport’s partnerships represent not just a technical milestone, but a reaffirmation of where the future of B2B travel distribution is headed.
