IDEMIA, the global leader in Augmented Identity announced that they have deployed LTE SIM cards in Singapore to support the mobile network operator TPG Telecom in offering SIM-only plans to its customers in Singapore.

IDEMIA also provides TPG with an Over-The-Air (OTA) platform to enable more effective SIM data updates, offering users in Singapore a seamless data roaming experience when they visit the neighborhood countries. On 31 March 2020, TPG launched its well received 50GB SIM Only Plan that includes 50GB local data and up to 1GB free data roaming to selected countries. Customers can stay connected while travelling to the selected countries without having to worry about completed roaming settings. IDEMIA will continue to support TPG in providing LTE SIM cards and an OTA platform to keep its commitment for a seamless and convenient customer journey.

TPG offers innovative services

Prior to its commercial launch in Singapore, TPG offered a series of innovative services such as its free mobile service trial with unlimited data and free data roaming to selected neighbouring countries. In addition, TPG’s voice roaming is “home-routed” and this brings tremendous savings to customers.

TPG launched 50 GB SIM ONLY PLAN. The service includes: • 50GB Data, • 300 Local Call, minutes, • 30 Local SMS, • 1GB Data Roaming in selected countries and • Mobile Number Portability is available

• TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan is available only to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Employment and Long Term Pass holders aged 18 years old and above.
• If there is no valid payment method stored in My Account, the TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan will be suspended.

Minimum Term

• TPG 50GB SIM Only plan is valid for 30 days which will be automatically renewed subject to successful recurring payment.
• Customers are permitted to terminate the Service at any time. All payments made are non-refundable.

Excluded Usage

• Some usage types such as MMS, video calls and Premium Services are not supported.
• For excess data, calls and SMS, you can access and top up your TPG Account Balance by logging into My Account.
• Top-ups are not refundable.

Mandatory Goods

• It is not a requirement of TPG Mobile Services that customers acquire handsets or other equipment from TPG.
• However, you must have a compatible mobile handset to be able to use this service.

Fair use policy

• All TPG mobile plans are for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes or in a manner that may adversely affect the mobile network.
• In particular, the services may not be used for wholesaling, reselling, SIM boxing or any other commercial purposes.
• If TPG reasonably believes that you are using the service for commercial purposes in breach of this clause, or in a manner that may adversely affect the mobile network, TPG may immediately suspend the mobile service and may provide 24 hours’ notice of termination of the mobile service.
