TOMIA offers roaming services free-of-charge to operators
Roaming and interconnect specialist firm, TOMIA, has announced that it will be offering its range of international roaming solutions free of charge, to help its customers stay connected during the current Covid19 pandemic.
A key feature that will be made available to operators is being able to instantly broadcast messages to their customers abroad, many of which are being held in quarantine. Maintaining close communication with customers at this time is vital and with this feature enabled, operators can check that their customers are safe with the click of a button.
Operators will also be able to easily engage with visiting roamers on their network, through TOMIA’s Mega Event capability. This functionality can provide those stuck overseas with valuable information about the country they are in, including emergency numbers, locations of health centers, etc. The tool was originally developed for large-scale events, but is proving extremely useful during the current global crisis.
TOMIA was originally formed out of the merger of Starhome Mach and Telarix, industry veterans in Roaming and Interconnect services. TOMIA offers transformative connectivity solutions to service providers worldwide.
TOMIA manages unified optimisation processes of both roaming and interconnect while driving the future of connectivity through new technologies and services such as VoLTE, NFV, and 5G. With over 500 employees worldwide, it has a presence in over 30 countries, TOMIA serves over 400 operators including 30 tier-1 and six of the industry’s largest groups.
