He said that the operator built new and upgraded existing base stations at over 50 locations throughout Montenegro in 2020, and the company plans further modernization of the network with multi-million investments.
Telenor network won the prestigious award “BEST IN TEST” at the independent and comparative measurement of the quality of mobile networks in Montenegro conducted by the international company UMLAUT (formerly known as P3) in November last year.
The measurement of Umlaut in Montenegro was conducted in the period from April to September 2020, and included 5.9 million samples taken from 5.8 thousand users.
“When we plan the development of the network, we are guided primarily by the needs of our users. By building new base stations and upgrading existing ones at more than 50 locations in 2020, we have increased the coverage and capacity of the Telenor network to provide good connectivity for citizens and institutions of Montenegro, especially in times of crisis caused by the corona virus, when more activities took place online. The Umlaut award “Best in test” is a confirmation that we are on the right track and is the result of our long-term investments and direction to provide users with a superior experience in using mobile services. A stable and reliable network that has enough capacity to support the growing mobile and internet traffic continues to be at the top of our priorities “, says Branko Mitrović, General Manager of Telenor Montenegro.
