Tele2 Estonia 2021 Networking Overview
In 2021, Tele2 committed itself to creating a better distribution and faster Internet, as a result of which the distribution or Internet speed improved in 165 places in Estonia. The new base stations will provide better coverage for residents of 43 regions and faster internet in 122 regions.
According to Margus Sitsi, Tele2’s radio network planning and network construction manager, the focus of the network work was on those places in Estonia where it was necessary to make the Internet faster, both in cities and in the countryside. Priority will be given to areas with a larger number of Tele2 customers, ie the most friends.
“In order to ensure better coverage, we built a base station in a completely new location, around which we tried to have better mobile coverage, and 4G internet speeds also increased in the area. We also expanded the 4G base station in our existing location, which made the internet faster in the area. Attention was also paid to all kinds of interior solutions, where we launched a base station in various public places and commercial buildings, ”explains Sits.
