Following Movistar and O2‘s lead, Vodafone and Orange joined the eSIM party with iOS 17.4, letting you switch eSIMs directly on your iPhone.

Fast transfer to eSIM grows on iPhone
Precisely to solve the previous procedure, the function was born eSIM Quick Transfer (translated, the Quick transfer to eSIM), until now available on iPhone for O2 and Movistar customers as long as they had an iPhone Xs or later updated to at least iOS 17.2.
Once done, you will receive a confirmation email.
Previously, transferring eSIM required contacting your operator. Now, it’s done directly on your phone:
- Go to Settings > Mobile Data.
- Select the SIM you want to convert.
- Tap Convert to eSIM.
- Confirm with your side button.
Once done, you will receive a confirmation email. This feature is currently available in beta for Vodafone and Orange customers in Spain on iPhone XS or later. Stay tuned for its public release!
