Slovak Telekom Enhances Data Roaming in Turkey, Canada

Mobile operator Slovak Telekom has introduced its new seasonal roaming offer for customers using services outside the EU.

The new form of Travel & Surf still has two zones, but countries are differently folded, and many preferred destinations such as Canada, Turkey, and Australia will have much better data. The offer will start on June 27, 2019.

Two zones and three sizes of packages

Each zone will contain three package sizes. The smallest volume moves from 20/35 MB to 100 MB (XS package), the middle package goes up from 100 MB to 500 MB (package M) and the largest package will have 1 GB (new XL).

Prices will be set as follows:

Zone 1 new with Turkey or Canada

A significant change in the new offer is also the different positions of the countries in each zone. For example, in Zone 1, Switzerland and the US remain, for which data is already cheaper due to new sizes and lower prices, but there are 12 countries from the originally higher zone. This will make the data in the popular destinations of Slovakia, Turkey, Serbia, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Aruba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Moldova, and Peru much more convenient.

In addition, four countries will be added to Zone 1, which have not yet had the data package advantage: Argentina, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Channel Islands.

The pricing conditions for Zone 1 are favorable for all packages: at 100 MB, the customer will only pay half (2.5 €) and at 500 MB the amount will fall from 15 to 8 €.

Zone 2 has more than 50 countries and new destinations

Zone 2 will contain a total of 54 countries. Most of them remain unchanged, such as Brazil, Montenegro, China, Egypt, Israel, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, New Zealand, Russia, UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Ukraine.

At the same time, Brunei, the Dominican Republic, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Costa Rica, Palestine and Paraguay will be added.

Zone 2 will also benefit from larger data volumes and better pricing. For 100 MB the customer will pay half less and the price for 500 MB will drop by a third.

Examples of Better Data slovak telekom roaming

Visitors to the 12 countries moved from Zone 2 to Zone 1, headed by Turkey and Canada, will benefit most from the changes. The price for 100 MB will drop by a quarter (from 10 € to 2.5 €) and so on for a 500 MB package.

Customers in destinations other than Brazil, China, Japan, and Russia will get better prices in their zone, plus larger data packages.
