This network of self-service kiosks is located across each of Heathrow’s four terminals (T2, T3, T4, and T5), targeting routes to the Far East, the Americas, and the Middle East.‍

‍It’s easy, and you don’t need to swap out your SIM card either. Simply select your destination and select your plan. You’ll receive a QR code and guided instructions. Scan the code with your smartphone’s camera, follow the instructions, and enjoy instant connectivity when you reach your destination.

And with Sim Local’s unrivalled reputation for customer service, Sim Local plans to stay on brand. That’s why there’ll be representatives at each kiosk to assist and educate travellers on the benefits of eSIMs and how to quickly activate them on their smartphones or other devices.

With around 30% of the UK’s airport traffic and over 85 million passengers passing through its gates each year, Heathrow is the perfect place to test new markets.

“This trial enables us to take our strategy to the next level, targeting key outbound long-haul travel markets from Heathrow.” said Ian Rankin, Chief Commercial Officer at Sim Local. “Should the trial be successful, we hope to deploy many more kiosk locations across Heathrow and other key UK airports.”
