Rogers Roam Like Home & Fido Roam Increase prices to $8/Day for U.S. Travel
If you’re going to be travelling in the U.S. soon, Rogers Roam Like Home and Fido Roam just got a bit more expensive, as prices have increased from $7 to $8 per day, a 14% hike.
The Rogers website now reads, “For $8 per day in the U.S. and $12 per over 180 eligible international destinations, you get full access to the data, talk and text included in your monthly plan.”

Both plans allow customers to use their existing voice and data plans while in the U.S., with daily charges maxed out to 15 times per billing cycle, or $120.
Roaming options for international destinations are still billed at $12 per day.

- You are only charged on days you use your device (make or receive a call, send a text, use data), and you will only be charged for a maximum of 15 days per monthly bill, after which time you can still use Roam Like Home until the end of your bill cycle free of charge.
- The daily fee covers you for 24 hours from the time you use your device, regardless of the time zone difference.
- The daily fee applies separately for each device that uses Roam Like Home.
What happens if I go over my data or voice usage limit while I am on Roam Like Home?
If you go over the data or minutes included in your plan, you will be charged the domestic overage rate applicable to your Rogers postpaid mobile plan as well as the daily Roam Like Home fee. (Note: Overage rates do not apply to Rogers InfiniteTM phone plans.)
Back in May 2019, Telus increased its Easy Roam U.S. option to $8 per day. Koodo made the jump to $8 per day for U.S. roaming in August 2018. In December 2018, Bell increased its U.S. roaming option to $8 per day. It was only a matter of time before Rogers and Fido increased prices to match its competitors.
