Ooredoo Qatar starts ‘Roam like Home’ service in 12 countries
Ooredoo Qatar has announced a new roaming service for customers this summer, letting customers use their local plan allowances while they are travelling in 12 popular destinations, namely Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, Turkey, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and the US. Roam Like Home Key” enables local calling, SMS, and data allowances to be used while roaming in selected countries.
How it works:
After you subscribe to a Roam Like Home Key your local data, local calling minutes and SMS included in your tariff plan can all be used abroad.
For example, if you’re signed up for a Shahry M plan, 10GB and 600 local minutes/SMS can be used in roaming. Qatarna users, thanks to their generous plan allowances, can enjoy an extensive roaming experience.
Local allowances are eligible to be used while roaming: local allowances included as part of your tariff plan, allowances provided by Add-ons, promotional allowances, and WhatsApp allowances.
Local allowance not eligible for roaming use: data at lower (throttled) speed, which is used after the main data allowance from your tariff plan is consumed.
Local allowances in Roaming will be consumed first before any Roaming allowance provided as part of your tariff plan or Ooredoo Passport.
If all local and roaming allowances are consumed, you will be charged local (not roaming) out-of-bundle rates while using services in roaming.
Roam Like Home Key can be subscribed to by customers with Shahry S/M/L/XL and Qatarna Silver/Gold/Platinum, Al Nokhba, and QNB First plans.
Roam Like Home Key is priced at QR150 and is valid for 7 days from subscription. A Roam Like Home Key will expire automatically after 7 days, and you can activate it again for a new period.
A Roam Like Home Key can be activated only from July 1 to August 31, 2022.
