As part of offering the best experiences to travelling customers, Ooredoo’s 5G data roamingwill now work on the networks of Ooredoo Kuwait, TT Mobil (AVEA) and Turkcell of Turkey, Etisalat (UAE), and DU, Zain & Mobily (Saudi Arabia), KT (South Korea) and Globe Telecom (Philippines). Ooredoo is working with Zain and Batelco in Bahrain, while similar arrangements now exist with Taiwanese operators FarEastOne and T-STAR and the Swiss networks Sunrise and Swisscom.

Customers need to select the roaming data option on their device. Ooredoo will be recognised as the visiting operator, and the customer will be granted 5G data network access if the mobile supports 5G.

Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani — Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo — said, “Now that easing of COVID-19 restrictions means Qatari citizens and residents can begin to travel once more, we’re delighted to be extending our network partnerships to ensure our customers can enjoy the superior 5G network access they are used to at home when they’re travelling overseas. Complete customer satisfaction is our strategic goal, whether customers are at home or abroad, and our comprehensive roaming options help us to achieve this goal.”

Ooredoo will continue to add more national and regional operators to its network of collaborators as they become available. ooredoo 5g roaming
