Almost a year ago, O2 launched a pilot commercial test operation of the 5G network in selected parts of Bratislava. This year, after selecting a supplier, he comes up with other news. Customers in a total of 15 cities and towns in western Slovakia are the first to try proper commercial operation on Ericsson’s 5G technology. By the end of the year, O2 plans to cover more massively the territory of eastern Slovakia. The strategy of covering Slovakia with a new 5G network from O2 is to strengthen the busiest locations of the fast 4G LTE network also with regard to the announced replacement of the entire radio network. Customers who use 2G and 4G networks will also benefit from this strategy, as the purpose of replacing the network is to improve their parameters as well.
