Taking third place is Taipei 101, Taiwan’s tallest and one of Asia’s most iconic skyscrapers. Soaring 508 meters into the sky, its design is inspired by the form of a bamboo stalk — a cultural symbol of resilience, growth, and prosperity. Beyond its symbolic architecture, Taipei 101 is also a feat of engineering, built to withstand earthquakes and typhoons, making it a marvel of modern construction. Visitors are often captivated by its high-speed elevators, among the fastest in the world, which whisk passengers from the ground floor to the observation deck in just 37 seconds. From the top, sweeping views of Taipei City and the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop, making Taipei 101 both a cultural landmark and an unforgettable travel experience.

Formerly known as the Sears Tower, it held the title of the world’s tallest building from 1973 until 1998 and remains a symbol of the Windy City’s architectural ambition. Today, much of its online fame is fueled by the 103rd-floor Skydeck, which attracts millions of visitors each year. Its most daring feature, The Ledge, consists of a series of glass-floored balconies that extend more than a meter outside the building, giving visitors the illusion of floating above the city. The breathtaking views of Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan, combined with the thrill of stepping onto transparent glass 412 meters in the air, make it one of the most shared skyscraper experiences on Instagram.
