Moldcell cuts roaming prices for travelers to Europe

The new rates, which took effect on January 1, 2024, are among the lowest in the world and will make it more affordable for Moldcell users to stay connected while abroad.
Here are some of the key changes to Moldcell’s roaming tariffs:
- Voice calls: Moldcell customers will now be able to make voice calls to numbers in the Republic of Moldova at EUR 0.05 per minute, down from EUR 0.15 per minute. Calls to numbers outside of Moldova will be charged at EUR 0.20 per minute, down from EUR 0.30 per minute.
- SMS messages: SMS messages to numbers in the Republic of Moldova will now be charged at EUR 0.03 each, down from EUR 0.05 each. SMS messages to numbers outside of Moldova will be charged at EUR 0.06 each, down from EUR 0.10 each.
- Data roaming: Data roaming will be charged at EUR 0.07 per MB, down from EUR 0.10 per MB.
In addition to these changes, Moldcell has also introduced a new roaming bundle that offers 2 GB of data, 100 minutes of calls, and 100 SMS messages for EUR 10. This bundle is valid for 10 days.
Moldcell’s new roaming tariffs are a welcome relief for Moldovans who travel to Europe often. The lower prices will make it easier for them to stay connected with friends and family back home and to access the internet while they are abroad.
