Companhia de Telecomunicações de Macau, S.A.R.L. (“CTM”), a subsidiary of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited, officially launched its 5G service plans on 14 November 2022 after it secured the 5G licence recently, embracing the highly anticipated 5G era!  macau 5g ctm

The first batch of customers was enthusiastic on the date of the service launch and queued over an hour before the stores’ opening. The CTM team also passionately welcomed these customers.

The key members of the project team participated and witnessed this significant moment in the store of Taipa, Macau on the official launch date of 5G service. After a simple celebration ceremony, the first batch of 5G service customers entered the store. CTM set up an on-site 5G experience zone to introduce more value-added services for the customers, including real-time speed tests, audio-visual services and cloud gaming services. CTM will strive to achieve business growth through the launch of 5G service and is committed to providing quality and stable telecom services for customers.

CTM has been striving to serve Macau citizens with quality telecom service and has realised 5G full indoor and outdoor coverage upon which the download speed could reach 1.6Gbps during the site tests. The network supports both NSA and SA standards, bringing high-quality and stable 5G network service experiences to its customers.

Regarding green sustainable development, CTM has deployed a smart energy management system for 5G cell sites considering environmental protection.
