These changes aim to simplify and standardize roaming charges for voice calls and SMS across various global destinations.

New Roaming Tariffs for Calls and SMS

Under the updated policy, LMT customers will experience uniform rates for calls and text messages when roaming outside the EEA. This move is designed to provide clarity and predictability in communication costs, regardless of the country visited.

For instance, in non-EEA European countries such as the United Kingdom and Gibraltar, the following rates apply:

• Calls to Latvia and other EEA countries: €0.59 per minute
• Incoming calls: €0.35 per minute
• Text messages: €0.12 per SMS

These rates reflect a significant reduction, with voice and messaging services in non-EEA European countries decreasing by up to 60%.

Internet While Traveling: Global Data Packages

LMT continues to offer its “Internet While Traveling” service, providing data packages tailored to various global regions:

• Global 1: 1 GB for €10.74, valid for 14 days
• Global 2: 500 MB for €10.74, valid for 14 days
• Global 3: 100 MB for €10.74, valid for 14 days

These packages cover a wide range of countries, including the USA, South Korea, Australia, and Brazil, among others

Additionally, customers opting for pay-per-MB usage will encounter new rates, varying based on the network used:

• €0.82 per MB
• €4.12 per MB
• €12.39 per MB

Detailed information on tariffs for specific operators will be available through LMT‘s tariff calculator starting June 5.
