Eighteen vendors in total are positioned in the Magic Quadrant which assesses organisations in terms of their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision”.

BICS, a leading enabler of international communications today announced it has been acknowledged by Gartner in the Niche Players quadrant of the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide report.

“We consider our positioning in the Niche Players by Gartner as confirmation of our mission to enable customers to connect any device, anywhere in the world, unlocking the power of a globally connected business,” said Mikael Schachne, CMO and VP for Mobility & IoT, BICS.

“We continue to innovate to ensure our customers benefit from self-managed, seamless and borderless connectivity across over 200 countries. With the recent launch of 5G enablement via our SIM for Things solution, coupled with providing connectivity for Mobile Private Networks, we are delivering on our mission to create opportunities by connecting communities, by removing barriers to IoT adoption on a global scale.”

KORE, a global leader in Internet of Things (“IoT”) solutions and worldwide Connectivity-as-a-Service (“CaaS”), also announced that it has been named by Gartner as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, further advancing its position as a visionary for IoT. The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analyzed the company’s overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“For the second year in a row, KORE is honored to be recognized as the only independent service provider in the Leader’s Quadrant,” said KORE President and CEO, Romil Bahl. “KORE is here to help customers overcome IoT adoption challenges by simplifying the myriad complexities, and hence help them effectively deploy, manage, and scale their IoT solutions for an accelerated return on investment.”

In the face of a global pandemic, 2020 was a year of growth for KORE despite the current headwinds of network sunsets in the US, which bodes well for future growth prospects as the migration to LTE is completed, and with 5G on the horizon. KORE has invested significantly in its IoT platform and also its eSIM and Core Network technology stacks, which combine to position KORE as a leader in the adoption of eUICC technology, the next generation of IoT connectivity. With secure network architecture, IoT-optimized rate plans, and a unified, powerful connectivity management platform, KORE makes it simple to deploy complex, global IoT solutions.

Telenor Group is recognised as a Leader by Gartner, after evaluating 18 managed IoT connectivity service providers in the 2021 Magic Quadrant.

Leaders have a clear vision of the market’s direction and develop competencies to maintain their leadership. Leaders engage customers and provide value across multiple geographies. They shape the market, rather than follow it, and they often set the benchmark for market growth.”

“They have established a robust and diverse ecosystem of technology alliances and service delivery partnerships spanning IT, OT and IoT to meet broad market requirements.”

Telenor is one of the world’s largest operator groups, providing IoT services both for local and multinational companies by its IoT specialists located in 18 countries in Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Telenor was an early pioneer in the IoT area and today operates over 17 million IoT units in over 190 countries and has been assisting customers with innovative managed IoT connectivity solutions for more than two decades.
