The figures from June show as many as six models from Apple on the top 10 list. Samsung is again the biggest challenger and OnePlus Nord2 is the only mobile that is not from the big two.

– We again see a strong predominance of top models, but this month a slightly more even distribution between Apple and Samsung. It is worth noting that the availability of telephones could affect the statistics, says Hans-Jørgen Siljan, head of category and logistics at Ice.

The statistics also show that 85 percent of phones sold can use 5G, and 72 percent of phones sold are eSIM compatible.

More eSIM = more competition ice esim

– It is gratifying to see that an increasing proportion of the mobile fleet is eSIM-compatible. ESIM makes it easier for the customer to change operator in an otherwise static mobile market. Easier switching again means more competition, which is positive for the customer, and positive for us, as most people who switch choose Ice and NiceMobil, says Siljan.

NiceMobil is the world’s first fully digital mobile company. The brand was launched by Ice on November 15, 2021 and has several of the market’s cheapest mobile subscriptions.

89% of sold phones from Ice can use 5G

The figures for May show that Apple dominates and has the five best-selling models in the top 10. Samsung again proves to be the biggest challenger with the next four positions, but this month we also have a third player in OnePlus that has sold itself to a tenth place .

What is worth noting is that 89 percent of the number of phones sold this month are 5G compatible. More and more Norwegians are ready for the transition to 5G, and this fits perfectly now that Ice has increased the pace of our development, says Hans Jørgen Siljan, head of category and logistics at Ice.
