According to a study by cable.co.uk, Switzerland has the second highest average broadband prices in Europe, after Iceland. The study found that the average broadband price in Switzerland is $69.87 per month, which is significantly higher than the average in most EU countries.

The merger of Sunrise and UPC marks a significant restructuring of the Swiss broadband market, and it blurs the distinction between telecommunications providers and cable network operators.
