More Data Available While Roaming in EU, TIM announces
From 11/27/2023, starting from the first useful charge of the monthly cost of the active offer(s) on the TIM mobile line, customers who travel to European Union countries will benefit, without additional costs, from an expansion of the data traffic limit valid when roaming in EU countries. TIM reminds you that, in compliance with EU Regulation 2022/612, customers can browse while roaming in EU countries under the same conditions as their national offer, within a variable data traffic ceiling depending on the monthly cost of their offer.
Should the data traffic developed in EU countries exceed the foreseen maximum, consumption-based pricing will be applied. The amount of this charge, starting on 11/27/2023, will be reduced from 0.213 cents per MB (VAT included) to 0.184 cents per MB (VAT included).
No changes are foreseen relating to voice and SMS traffic since these services can already be used in roaming in EU countries according to the ceilings set by each tariff plan in the national territory, without the application of specific ceilings for traffic carried out in roaming in EU countries. Similarly, no changes are envisaged for offers whose data traffic component is already fully usable even when roaming in European Union countries, without the application of specific limits.
