Greek operator Cosmote, recognising the increased need for communication after the tragic events in Beirut, supports its subscribers in Lebanon, covering the cost of calls, mobile internet and roaming SMS, from 4 to 10 August. cosmote free calls
In addition, Cosmote offers free calls and SMS between Greece and Lebanon during the same period (4-10 August).
Cosmote mobile customers will be refunded the value of international calls and SMS from Greece to Lebanon. Also, Cosmote will return the value of roaming calls (outgoing, incoming) and SMS from Lebanon to Greece and / or within Lebanon, as well as the internet traffic (MB), which took place in Lebanon. Cosmote fixed customers will be refunded the value of international calls to Lebanon.

After a traumatic week, many of Beirut’s citizens flooded outside to clean, sweep and help begin the devastated city’s recovery.
Lebanon was already in dire economic straits before the explosion wiped out Beirut’s port area and damaged buildings across the city. At least 158 people were killed and dozens remain missing. More than 6,000 people were injured.
As grief turned to anger, tens of thousands of demonstrators poured into central Beirut on Saturday calling for “revenge” against the ruling class of politicians widely held responsible for the explosion.
