CelcomDigi Launches Spark: A New eSIM-Only Telco in Malaysia

  • Plus – RM65/month, 200GB (5G/4G) + 100 voice minutes.

SMS isn’t included in any plan (which honestly makes sense in 2025), but top-ups for data, calls, or SMS start from RM1.

And for early adopters, there’s a launch perk: sign up before 31 December using code SPARK5 and get RM5 off for the first 12 months. That effectively brings the RM25 Standard plan down to RM20/month for a year—a very comfortable entry point.

What Spark Is Trying to Be

This isn’t just another mobile plan drop. Spark is built intentionally as an eSIM-only, app-native brand, meaning:

  • You activate your number directly inside the Spark app.
  • You can manage up to five lines in one account (useful for family setups).

Where Spark differentiates itself is the pure eSIM commitment. It’s not offering physical SIM fallback—and that’s a statement. It signals where the market is going: fewer physical touchpoints, faster activation, fewer logistical costs.

If Spark hits its stride, expect competitors to follow the fully contactless model more aggressively.
