Ucell introduces eSIMs and offers new payment option
Ucell, Uzbekistan’s leading mobile operator, has launched eSIMs as part of its continued commitment to modernize its offerings for tech-savvy consumers. This new addition allows users to activate their mobile services digitally, eliminating the need for physical SIM cards. Ucell introduced this new service for customers on 30.08.2022. The new service – Ucell eSIM – can be activated at all Ucell offices in Uzbekistan.
Mobius is the first mobile operator to launch eSIM technology and enabled it in April 2021.
Here’s how to get a Ucell eSIM:
- Purchase: You can purchase an eSIM directly from Ucell stores in Uzbekistan or online through the providers mentioned above.
- Activation: Once you purchase the eSIM, you’ll receive a QR code or a configuration file. Scan the QR code or install the configuration file on your eSIM-compatible device.
- Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your Ucell eSIM. You may need to provide some personal information and passport details.

- Convenience: No need for a physical SIM card, making it easier to travel and switch between networks.
- Flexibility: You can activate multiple eSIM profiles on a single device.
- Security: Enhanced security as there’s no physical SIM card to lose or damage.
Beeline Uzbekistan subscribers have used the eSIM service since December 2021. Subscribers can connect to eSIM for the first time in any office of the company free of charge by submitting an identification document. It will then be possible to replace the digital card or recover the number if the smartphone is lost, such services will be paid for using the applicable tariffs of the operator.
In conjunction with the eSIM introduction, Ucell is also rolling out a new, user-friendly payment option. By providing greater convenience and flexibility, Ucell aims to enhance customer satisfaction and attract a wider base of digitally inclined users.
