Slovak operator 4ka plans to raise the prices of its mobile data traffic packages by EUR 1. The new rates will be applied from 10 September. An additional 1 GB data traffic bundle for use when roaming in the EU will be also added to the packages. 4ka mobile data

From next month, 4ka will also increase the price of mobile flat rates. In April, it already increased the basic price per minute of calls and SMS to all clients by 25 percent.

“We have been looking for reserves for a long time and taking various measures to avoid raising the prices of our flat rates. Unfortunately, the prices of almost all inputs, especially electricity, are rising at an unpredictable pace, which fundamentally affects the costs associated with the operation of our services,” says 4ky CEO Roman Vavrík.

The change will affect both new and existing customers .

The operator will increase the prices of Sloboda flat rates by one euro per month . But he adds 1 GB of data to almost all flat rates , which is valid in his network, Orange’s 3G network, but also in the entire EU. The benefits gained by clients, for example, when switching from a competitor, will also be preserved.

“All long-term benefits that customers could receive, for example for number transfer, remain valid,” confirmed the operator. It was, for example, a 2-euro discount when switching from another operator.

New prices and data volume 4ka mobile data

See the new composition of Sloboda flat rates from September:

• Sloboda 100 for 6 euros per month  – 100 units for calls or SMS and 2 GB of data throughout Slovakia and the EU
• Freedom 300 for 10 euros per month  – 300 units for calls or SMS and 2 GB of data throughout the Slovak Republic and the EU
• Voice freedom for 16 euros per month  – unlimited calls and SMS, no data
• Freedom ∞ for 18 euros per month  – unlimited calls and SMS and 2 GB of data throughout Slovakia and the EU
• Freedom 100+ for 11 euros per month  – 100 units for calls or SMS and 12 GB of data in the entire Slovak Republic (6.17 GB in the EU)
• Freedom 300+ for 15 euros per month  – 300 units for calls or SMS and 17 GB of data in the entire Slovak Republic (6.17 GB in the EU)
• Freedom ∞+ for 23 euros per month  – unlimited calls and SMS and 301 GB of data, after a minute of 20 GB in Orange’s 3G network, the speed can be reduced to 0.26/0.26 Mbit/s, in reality the speed is said to slow down only after 40 minutes GB (6.17 GB in the EU)
• Freedom of data for 15 euros per month  – 301 GB of data, after a minute of 20 GB in Orange’s 3G network, the speed can be reduced to 0.26/0.26 Mbit/s, in reality the speed is said to slow down only after a minute of 40 GB (data in the EU does not apply )

1 MB more expensive by 40 percent 4ka mobile data

At the same time, from the same date, 4ka will increase the basic price for 1 MB of data , which is paid by clients without data packages or after a minute of prepaid data. The price will increase very significantly .

“From September 10, 2022, the unit price for 1 MB of data will change from 1 cent to 1.4 cents ,” announced 4ka.
