3 Denmark scraps 3LikeHome data roaming caps for EU, EAA and UK for rest of 2021

3 Denmark said that from 12 July, it will let customers with 3LikeHome and 3LikeHome Pro subscriptions use all their data allowance when roaming in EU countries for the rest of the year, as well as in Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the UK. It said it is removing the normal mobile roaming data cap to benefit Danes taking the opportunity of a foreign summer holiday, letting them use their full internet allowance when in those countries, even if they have an unlimited data contract. 3 Denmark 3LikeHome

Now there is good news for the many Danes who have seized the opportunity for a trip abroad and planned a holiday in the European summer country. From Monday 12 July and throughout the year, 3 will remove the normal data ceiling on travel data in a number of European countries for all private and business customers who have 3LikeHome and 3LikeHome Pro included in their subscription. This allows them to use the full amount of data available in their subscription in all EU countries, the EEA countries Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein as well as the United Kingdom.

At 3, there has recently been a sharp increase in the number of 3 customers who use their mobile phones abroad, just as 3’s network data clearly shows that there is greater travel activity this year than last year. In mid-June, 3 measured a 66% increase in the number of customers using data abroad, compared to the same period last year. Sweden and Germany are always the most popular destinations and still are, but Spain, France and Italy are also at the top this year.

“The Danes are ready to travel the world again, and there is no doubt that the summer holidays for many people will be held in Europe. That is why we want to do our part so that they can easily and worry-free use of data, especially at a time when it is more important than ever to be able to stay informed on the go, ”says Jesper Bennike, director of 3’s private market.

Even more travel data

With 3LikeHome you can make calls, text messages and surf on your mobile for the same price as at home in 72 countries worldwide with a data ceiling of 25 GB. It is this ceiling that 3 now removes from 12 July and the rest of the year for EU and EEA countries as well as the UK. This means, for example, that with a Free Speech subscription with 30 or 50 GB – or even Free Data – you can use the same amount of data in these countries.

3Business offers 3LikeHome Pro, which also includes calls from Denmark to the 3LikeHome countries as well as calls between the countries.
– In the period 12 July 2021 to 31 December 2021, all private and business customers of 3 with 3LikeHome and 3LikeHome Pro included in their subscription can use all the data included in their subscription, in all EU and EEA countries as well as the United Kingdom . However, other conditions, such as the fair use limit for Free Data, as well as rules for permanent roaming still apply.
