3 Denmark adds UAE to 3LikeHome roaming destinations
Until now, it has cost retail customers DKK 22.50 per minute to phone home from the UAE, DKK 4.00 to send an SMS, and DKK 100 for 1 MB data. Streaming Netflix in HD for half an hour would have cost DKK 150,000, it added.
“Our ultimate goal is to cover the whole world with 3LikeHome, and United Arab Emirates is an important step on the road that has been extremely in demand. Many go there on vacation or spend a day or two in the country if they have to travel far. Now they can easily and quickly stay in touch with friends and family at home without worrying, ”says David Elsass, director of 3’s private market.
The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates; Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain as well as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which are probably the most well-known among Danish tourists.
