Businesses operating across the global production and supply chain are increasingly looking to satellite communications to stay connected and to build situational awareness.

Some require high-throughput connectivity, whereas others need to send small amounts of mission-critical data at specific times. Many organizations find themselves navigating several of these constraints, simultaneously.

New use cases across agriculture, energy, mining, utilities and transport and logistics sectors are emerging and require a broad, but simple-to-understand product portfolio, to support these connectivity needs.

A new portfolio Viasat enterprise customers

Following Viasat’s acquisition, the portfolio brings together services from the Inmarsat Enterprise business and Viasat’s commercial land business into one easy-to-navigate structure.

Working closely with their channel partners and designed for simplicity and clarity, the company’s new portfolio aims to make it easier for Viasat partners and customers to navigate the breadth of services that we offer and to better understand how to support their goals.

It unites the sixteen legacy Viasat and Inmarsat Enterprise services and organizes them under six horizontal solution areas, which function as intuitive entry points into the portfolio.

What’s changed? At-a-glance:

  • Viasat has created solution groups based on the ways that their customers use the connectivity i.e. for IoT, Voice, and PTT or Go-anywhere comms
  • Viasat grouped all services within solution families, with names that correspond to their solution group
  • This meant they changed the names of certain services – for instance: BGAN is now Pro family, which sits over three solution groups: IoT Pro, Go-anywhere Pro, and PTT Pro – based on the way that service is used
  • IsatData Pro (IDP) is now IoT Nano, which will be the name it continues to have as they evolve to the underpinning OGx technology
  • Viasat has added some exciting value-added services such as Operational Cyber Security and its operational AI platform, Intelie AI, with the capability to enhance everyday operational intelligence.
