Ucell offers eSIM activation on mobile app
Ucell customers in Uzbekistan can choose a phone number and tariff, activate the eSIM, and buy a top-up, all on the app. They must have an iOS or Android smartphone with a camera and UzCard or Humo payment cards for the payment. More about Ucell eSIM activation and Ucell mobile app find out below.
The new number is activated using a QR code that can be obtained from the mobile operator. The code must be scanned on a smartphone with the Internet-enabled (e.g. via Wi-Fi). Then go to settings and activate the received eSIM profile by adding a mobile data plan. You can switch to the new card from your phone settings. If you change the device, the settings from the old gadget will have to be deleted. The same QR code may be used up to 10 times.

Will my tariff and services be saved after switching from SIM to eSIM?
All services and tariffs on your number will be saved.
Do I need the Internet for eSIM to work?
Internet is required only during the activation or deactivation of eSIM.
Can eSIM be replaced by a SIM card again?
To replace an eSIM with a SIM card, the subscriber (Individual) must contact the company’s own office with a document proving the subscriber’s identity and go through the replacement procedure.
IMEI
Before activation of eSIM in the Ucell mobile app subscriber needs to check that the IMEI code of the mobile device is registered, in case of no registration IMEI number can be deactivated after 30 days. Ucell is not responsible for the correct operation of eSIM on unregistered devices.
Activation instructions:
In Apple devices – Settings → “Cellular” → “Add cellular tariff” and scan the issued QR.
In Samsung devices – Settings → “Connections” → ” SIM card manager” → “Add mobile tariff” and scan the issued QR.
In Huawei devices – Settings → “Mobile communication” → “SIM card management” → “Select the desired SIM-card slot” → “eSIM card” and scan the issued QR.
You can delete the eSIM profile in the smartphone settings.
In Apple devices – Settings → “Cellular” → “Cellular tariffs”. Press “Delete”.
In Samsung devices – Settings → “Connections” → “SIM card manager”. Press “Delete”.
In Huawei devices – Settings → “Mobile communication” → “SIM card management”. Press “Delete”.

After choosing the option “Activate eSIM”, an introductory window will open explaining further steps:
– For whom the self-registration process is available (for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan);
– A general step-by-step overview for successfully activating the SIM card.
At the beginning of the self-registration process, a window will open to select a number to connect:
– “New number” – option to select a number from the list of available numbers for connection;
– “Reserved phone number” – if you have previously booked a number, you can activate it by entering the reservation code.
When choosing a new number from the available numbers, Ucell offers:
– After choosing the category, numbers from the exact category will appear for choosing the number;
– By clicking the “Search” button, you can choose a number by combination;
– By clicking the “Select by mask” button, you can choose a number by mask.
After choosing a number, you need to determine the tariff that is convenient for you. By clicking the “Details” button under the tariff, you can read the tariff’s conditions. Once you have made a choice, just continue the process.
Using the modern MyID service, personal identification is available. Here you need to fill in information of your Passport / ID card or your PIN and your date of birth.
To avoid entering all the data manually, Ucell offers a specially developed functionality, that helps you scan a document for quick data entry and provides an easier way via Ucell mobile app.
After successfully completing personal identification, please verify the correctness of the data, read “Public offer” and accept it in order to proceed to the next stage.
After verifying the correctness of the data and accepting the “Public offer”, a window will open where the subscriber can select the method for installing eSIM on the device:
– Now – install eSIM now on the device, from which the subscriber is completing the process of self-registration;
– Later – at any another convenient for the subscriber time on any device with eSIM support, by saving and entering the necessary settings.
Then, with an information window, we will notify that the registration form is sent to the new registered number (the document is available for download at any convenient time through the specified link).
After clicking “Continue”, the number registering process in the Company’s system will start. This process may take about a minute.
After successful registration, a window will open notifying you about the remaining amount of the required top-up balance for activation of the Ucell eSIM in the mobile app.
– “Top up balance” – using this button you can pay the missing amount to switch to active status;
– “Update” – this button checks and optimizes data with other payment systems if the payment was made in another payment system.
From the “Main page” of the Ucell mobile app the subscriber can:
- Get information about the status of your balance, as well as the current tariff plan, subscription fee, and the date of the next charge according to the tariff;
- Add the widget on the phone screen and trace the balance state and traffic balance without entering to the application;
- Find out the status of traffic balances and tariff details in “My tariff” section;
- Get information about Internet, minutes, and SMS limits by tariff terms and other activated services;

- To change tariff or activate Restart service in the section “My tariff” (if it’s provided by tariff terms);
- To see the history of charges on communication services for the current period and previous months in the section “Expenses” from 01.11.2021;
