  • In stadiums: 2.7 million people are expected to attend matches in stadiums across Germany.
  • In fan zones: government figures predict that up to 12 million people will visit fan zones throughout the country.

These figures indicate that a massive influx of football fans from across Europe and beyond is expected in Germany for Euro 2024.

An amazing number of Slovenian fans will be cheering live at the UEFA European Football Championship, taking place in Germany until 14 July. Telekom Slovenije has prepared free and unlimited mobile data transfer for all its mobile subscribers who will be cheering in Germany. At the same time, it has joined the charitable campaign #srčnišal of the Football Association of Slovenia and contributed by purchasing 1,000 “Heart Scarves” to help pay for sports training and equipment for children from socially disadvantaged environments and to support the Slovenian Special Olympics teams. telekom slovenije unlimited data

The free unlimited data transfer is automatically activated for subscribers when they first connect to the network of any German operator. Subscribers receive an SMS message informing them that the “EP Germany 2024” service has been activated. The service is available until July 14.

In this way, Telekom Slovenije has ensured carefree communication for fans, without the need to search for WiFi networks. Slovenia’s national team is competing at Euro 2024 and their fans have shown strong support. Over 10,000 Slovenian fans were present at their opening match against Denmark in Stuttgart, which has a large Slovenian community. Additional fans gathered in fan zones throughout the city to cheer on their team. The Slovenian coach, Matjaž Kek, praised the fans for their support and acknowledged the positive atmosphere they created.

It’s worth noting that this is Slovenia’s first appearance in a major tournament since the 2010 World Cup, making this a significant event for both the team and its fans.

While exact numbers for the total number of Slovenian fans expected in Germany for the entire tournament aren’t available, the strong turnout at their first match indicates that many are likely to follow the team throughout Euro 2024.

Telekom Slovenije is one of the biggest supporters of Slovenian sports and athletes, and it has been a sponsor of the Slovenian national football team for many years.
