Over the last few months, Telecom Namibia has invested in infrastructure development as part of its network modernisation programme, with a focus on expansion and the enhancement of its networks.

Telecom Namibia is a state-owned telecommunications company that provides a range of fixed-line, mobile, and internet services to customers in Namibia.

Some of the services offered by Telecom Namibia include:

  1. Fixed-line services: TeIecom Namibia provides fixed-line telephone services to customers throughout the country, with options for residential, business, and government customers.
  2. Mobile services: TeIecom Namibia offers mobile services under the TN Mobile brand, including voice calls, text messaging, and data services.
  3. Internet services: TeIecom Namibia provides a range of internet services, including fixed-line broadband, mobile data, and Wi-Fi hotspots.

In terms of competition, Telecom Namibia faces competition from several other telecommunications companies operating in the country, including MTC, a mobile network operator, and Paratus, a provider of internet and networking solutions. This competition has led to some price reductions and improved services for customers, as companies strive to offer better value and quality to attract and retain customers.

Additionally, the Namibian government has been exploring options for opening up the telecommunications market to further competition, which could bring additional benefits to consumers in terms of pricing, service quality, and innovation. Overall, the telecommunications market in Namibia is relatively competitive, which has resulted in increased choice and value for consumers.
