Samsung has confirmed that its digital wallet is now available as a payment method on the French mobile ticketing app ViaNavigo. samsung pay france

This follows the partnership with public transport authority Ile-de-France Mobilites unveiled in September 2019, when the arrival of Samsung Pay on the app was expected by the end of last year. The app enables passengers to buy and validate m-tickets on the bus, tram and metro networks of different transport companies operating in the Paris area and surrounding region. It also enables holders of a Navigo smart card to recharge their pass.

Payment is secured by the Samsung Knox platform and a bank data encryption system, and the user’s credit card data is not stored in the device or on Samsung’s servers.
