Hrvatski Telekom releases broadband map of Croatia
All citizens of Croatia can check the coverage of internet access across Croatia and speeds available to every household at https://www.hrvatskitelekom.hr/karte-pokrivenosti. It is an interactive broadband map of Croatia with available internet speeds and coverage of the mobile signal. Everyone can simply and quickly get information on the range of speeds available at their address, request it, and track how speed is increased by introducing new technology solutions.
Hrvatski Telekom brings the best network and high-speed internet in all areas of Croatia, so everyone can access digital services, regardless of who they are and where they live. Thanks to innovative hybrid technology, Hrvatski Telekom has secured up to 30 megabits per second in rural and less populated areas of Croatia. It is a combination of the most available fixed and best mobile network in a unique service that provides stable and fast Internet access. Internet service users will be able to get 50 percent higher speeds through this technology and enjoy the best television content provided by Hrvatski Telekom’s IPTV service. More than 50,000 users enjoy today the advantages offered by this innovative technology on the Croatian market.
Through a combination of fixed and mobile technologies, optic infrastructure and an optic-based approach, Hrvatski Telekom will provide residents of urban and rural areas with more opportunities for flexible work, entertainment, quick information, and communication.

In 2019, Hrvatski Telekom continues to invest heavily in infrastructure that will exceed HRK 1.7 billion this year, to provide preconditions for the creation of a gigabit society. The modernization of the radio network, in which Hrvatski Telekom has invested more than a billion kunas last year and this year increases the quality, capacity and network coverage. Today, the network has been modernized in Istria, Zagreb County, the City of Zagreb, and along the entire coast, and in these areas, it provides up to 30 percent higher speeds. By the end of the current year, network modernization will be completed in other parts of Croatia and be fully ready for the implementation of 5G technology.
Hrvatski Telekom holds the best network certificate and is the operator with the fastest mobile network and the broadest coverage in Croatia. According to Ookla’s survey, Hrvatski Telekom’s mobile Internet access service is most available in Croatia with up to 50 percent better performance compared to the second-placed operator, and this measurement also ranks Hrvatski Telekom’s mobile network among the ten best networks in the world. Also, network performance in Zagreb is better than in South Korea, the country with the status of the best network and the first country with commercial use of 5G in the world.
At the same time, Croatian cities today, whose population has access to the internet via optical infrastructure and optically-based access, have more than 700,000 households with direct access to speeds of more than 30 and an additional 250 thousand households at speeds ranging from 100 to 500 megabits per second. By further investing in the development of optical infrastructure, in the next two and a half years, Hrvatski Telekom will enable for 1.2 million of the 1.5 million households in Croatia to enjoy speeds of over 30 megabits per second. Almost one-third of the total number of households, over 600,000, will have access to speeds of up to 500 megabits per second in the coming period.
