Glastonbury 2025: Vodafone Unveils Festival App with Social Step Count and Live Friend Finder
Vodafone has launched the new, upgraded Official Glastonbury Festival app for 2025, packed with exciting new features to help music fans enjoy the ultimate festival experience at Worthy Farm in June.
Building on last year’s highly successful revamp, the 2025 edition of the app focuses on keeping friends and family connected at the nation’s most iconic festival.
Steps, Signal & Social Impact
From Beats to Bytes: Vodafone Powers Glastonbury’s Digital Side
Alongside live location and step count tracking, other key updates to the app include:
- Shared Line-ups will now automatically update, helping festival-goers spot who their friends are seeing and allowing them to plan their day accordingly.
- The ability to shortlist acts via ‘Add to Favourites’, helping fans distinguish between their locked line-up and their top considerations at one quick glance.
- An intuitive map search feature, making it easier than ever to navigate Worthy Farm and hunt down different cuisines, locate camping and merch stands or discover new stages.
As well as these new additions, the 2025 Official Glastonbury Festival app also reprises all of its popular 2024 features, including: personalised recommendations on artists performing at the festival based on listening habits via Spotify; the ability to share line-ups with friends; Map Pinning to help users find everything from their tent to a favourite food stall; and automatic highlighting when artists overlap, to help navigate the festival’s stacked schedule.
The Official Glastonbury Festival app, powered by Vodafone, The Nation’s Network**, can be downloaded now from the App Store and Google Play Store. Last year’s Official Glastonbury app saw 226,215 total downloads. 88.9% of downloads were from festival-goers attending Worthy Farm, while 11.1% were from people viewing at home.
At Glastonbury Festival 2025, Vodafone’s reliable, award-winning network* will be boosted to the highest capacity ever. With data consumption hitting over 225 terabytes last year, fast and reliable connectivity is more important than ever to keep fans connected to their friends and family, whether they are watching from home or at the iconic Worthy Farm.
225TB of Data: Glastonbury’s Biggest Connection Yet
“As The Nation’s Network we are all about connecting fans to those moments that the nation loves, and Glastonbury Festival is no exception. We know the app plays a big role in the festival experience so, this year, we have gone even further to ensure that fans can connect with their friends or family and get as much out of Glastonbury as possible. Combined with us delivering the most Vodafone network capacity ever on-site, these new features will help festival-goers always be connected no matter where they are across the site.
“We’re delighted to be able to use these features to reward both fans and communities across the UK, by tying the new step count feature to our Everyone Connected campaign. Social impact is a key part of Glastonbury’s ethos as a festival, and we’re proud to be able to play our part in that.” Glastonbury 2025 app
As well as delivering the Official Glastonbury Festival app, Vodafone’s Connect & Charge tent will also keep all festival-goers powered up and connected, with free phone charging and WiFi to keep them going throughout the Festival. Vodafone Connect & Charge is in the centre of the Glastonbury site, close to the Other Stage, the Glade and the Pyramid Stage. Fans can find it using the interactive map in the app.
The Glastonbury 2025 lineup features headliners including Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA, with dozens more acts across multiple stages. Standard ticket prices were set at £355 plus a £5 booking fee.
