Yettel Launches AI-Powered Parking Finder in Budapest to Cut Traffic and Pollution
Finding a parking space in the city center is often a time-consuming and frustrating task, which not only causes difficulties for motorists but also contributes to traffic congestion and environmental pollution. If you’re going to Budapest, one of the biggest challenges you’ll face is finding parking. Budapest’s city center is often packed, making it difficult and time-consuming to locate a free spot. To solve this, Yettel has introduced a new AI-powered parking assistant in its mobile app, helping users find parking in Budapest more efficiently than ever before.
For the first time in Budapest, the Yettel app’s Parking Finder feature makes finding a parking space easier, using anonymous and aggregated data from various sources to create a real-time forecast of the likelihood of finding a free parking space on a given street. The AI algorithm also considers traffic conditions, time of day, weather conditions, and historical traffic data, thereby optimizing the parking process.
The new AI-based parking assistant can reduce the time and stress spent searching for a parking space, while reducing unnecessary circling can also reduce city traffic, fuel consumption, and environmental impact.
The AI-based parking assistant will be available in the Yettel app from May 26. The service will be available in additional major cities later.
Where is it available?
The function is available in the Yettel app from version 12.3.0 or later. It can be activated within MobilParkolás using the switch at the bottom of the screen: here you can switch between the normal (zonal) and PlaceFinder views. Different colors on the map show where there is the greatest chance of finding a free space. A new navigation function has also become available: if you press and hold a point on the map, you can start navigation to the parking destination belonging to the selected location.
