Russian internet search engine Yandex said customers can pay for car fuel in gas stations using a mobile version of the Yandex.Maps mapping service.
The option can be used in 500 gas stations of the Shell and Tatneft chains, as well as numerous gas stations of other companies.
Yandex has started selling its devices and other branded products in mini-outlets in shopping centres, reports Kommersant. Such sales points have opened in the Troyka shopping centre in Moscow, in the Raduga arcade in Yekaterinburg and the Okhta Mall in St Petersburg.
