VOGTEC Announces Introduction of Cordless Mobex IP Phone, Lending Mobility to the Workplace

VOGTEC is committed to the development of enterprise-grade communication solutions

VOGTEC has announced the addition of the Mobex IP phone. VOGTEC has developed the world’s first mobile handheld extension phone – Mobex T3, T2 – that can be used throughout an office building and a mobile handheld extension phone that covers roaming around the world – Mobex T3m, T2m. The wireless VoIP phone connects to a WiFi network or uses a mobile data network.

Mobility in the workplace is the trend, and traditional office extension phones are confined to the desk area. When staff are not at their desk, they could miss important calls or be inaccessible to their colleagues,” says Lawrence Liu, CEO of VOGTEC. “Our goal is to bring more mobility, and therefore productivity, to the workplace. Being able to take the phone with you as you move within the building throughout the day ensures that staff are not missing important calls and are at maximum productivity.”

The Mobex WiFi SIP phone supports PTT (Push to Talk), intercom, VPN, QoS, enterprise-grade security and privacy protection, and provides customized OS based on Android. It provides more than 5.5 hours of talk time and more than 100 hours of standby time.

Amazon ACM (Alexa Calling & Messaging), Microsoft Skype, and Google Hangout versions will be available in the near future. The Mobex phone is widely used in office settings and in healthcare, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing, among other industries.

The Mobex WiFi SIP phone features include a 2.4-inch color screen display, a new VoIP over WCDMA / LTE mobile network (Mobex T2m, T3m) and a cordless handset supporting mobile extension. It also offers a dual-band 2.4G/5G WiFi to offload traffic, lessen interference, and to ensure voice link, quality (Mobex T2, T2m), and WiFi roaming under the same SSID APs, supporting WiFi standard 802. 11 a/c/b/g/n/d/h/k/r/v. In addition, the phone features SIP BroadSoft compatibility certification and SIP auto provision and Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) to ensure on-line support for configuration, setup, backup and recovery, and new features including upgrading, bugfix, and more.
