There was 7.5 million illegally distributed SIM cards in Russia last year

There were about 7.5 million illegally distributed Sims in Russia at the end of 2018, reports Comnews.ru, citing a study from the J’son & Partners Consulting. That’s equal to about 3 percent of all active Sims used across the country.

The Sims were initially sold to legal entities then illegally resold at a later date.
It is also noted  that women on average more often than men use only one SIM card.
When analyzing the value of smartphones in possession, it turned out that 80% of used smartphones are in the price range from 7 to 30 thousand rubles. At the same time, a study by J’son & Partners Consulting confirmed that women generally own more expensive smartphones, especially the age group 18-25 years.
