The best time to visit Agra

The best time to visit Agra is during the winter months of October to March, when the weather is pleasant and mild, with temperatures ranging from 8°C to 25°C (46°F to 77°F). The cool and dry weather during this time makes it ideal for sightseeing and exploring the city.

During the summer months of April to June, temperatures can soar up to 45°C (113°F), making it extremely hot and uncomfortable to visit the city. Monsoon season starts in July and lasts until September, bringing with it heavy rainfall and high humidity. While the rains do provide some respite from the heat, it can make sightseeing difficult and uncomfortable.

Visiting Agra during the winter months also means that you get to experience the festivals and events that take place during this time. The Taj Mahotsav, a 10-day cultural festival that showcases the art, crafts, and culture of India, is usually held in February in Agra. It’s a great opportunity to witness traditional dance and music performances, sample local cuisine, and shop for souvenirs.
