Starhome Mach says data roaming up 50% in its First Week on new EU rules

Starhome Mach said that its European operator customers are already reporting increases of over 50 percent in data traffic since the new ‘roam like at home’ regulation came into effect 15 June in the EU. Voice traffic is also up over 25 percent, with calls becoming longer in duration, the vendor reported.
Starhome Mach expects that with the summer vacation season beginning soon, coupled with subscribers’ increasing understanding of the new regulation, roaming traffic will increase by more than 400 percent.
